Visa Requirements

Tourist Visa (L Visa)

The most common visa type for leisure travel to China.

Validity: Usually 30-90 days, single or multiple entry
Processing Time: 4-5 business days (standard), 2-3 days (express)
Required Documents: Passport, application form, photo, flight itinerary, hotel bookings, invitation letter (if applicable)

Visa-Free Transit

Some travelers may be eligible for visa-free transit.

144-Hour Transit: Available at major airports for citizens of 53 countries
72-Hour Transit: Available at certain airports for specific nationalities
Requirements: Valid passport, confirmed onward ticket, valid visa for destination country (if required)

Application Process

Prepare Documents

Gather all required documents including passport, photos, and supporting materials.

Complete Application Form

Fill out the visa application form online or at the consulate.

Submit Application

Submit your application in person or through an authorized visa service.

Collect Visa

Pick up your passport with visa or have it mailed to you.

Important Notes

Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure date from China.
