Our "Dual Carbon Plan" ensures that all our western routes are carbon-neutral. We calculate the carbon footprint of every journey, from transportation to accommodation, and invest in verified carbon offset projects. But we go beyond offsets—we actively work to reduce emissions through careful route planning, use of eco-friendly transportation, and partnerships with sustainable accommodations.
One of our most significant commitments is our donation program. Ten percent of fees from all western routes are automatically donated to local ecological funds and conservation projects. These funds support reforestation efforts, wildlife protection programs, and community-based conservation initiatives that directly benefit the regions we visit.
We partner exclusively with accommodations that share our environmental values. From eco-lodges powered by renewable energy to boutique hotels that implement comprehensive waste reduction programs, every stay is chosen with sustainability in mind.
Our approach to cultural sustainability is equally important. We work closely with UNESCO and local heritage organizations to ensure our tours respect and preserve cultural sites. We limit group sizes to minimize impact, and we always seek permission before visiting sacred or sensitive locations.
Perhaps most importantly, we educate our travelers about responsible tourism practices. Through pre-trip briefings and on-the-ground guidance, we help travelers understand how to minimize their environmental impact and engage respectfully with local communities.
The results speak for themselves. Over the past five years, our carbon offset programs have supported the planting of over 50,000 trees, and our conservation donations have helped protect critical habitats across western China.
